Our Goals: To encourage sportsmanship, fellowship and provide bass fishing techniques through lectures & materials. To support/sponsor youth and community programs.
The membership enrollment has grown to 103 members in the late 80's, has been reduced to 6 members in the early 90's. Membership has currently stabilized in the 25 – 30 range.
Some of the major achievements included: sponsored Kid Fish, support; Chamber of Commerce in the Carp Tournaments, hosted; Open Tournaments; benefiting the American Cancer Society in our local areas.
Affiliations: Texas Association of Bass Clubs, Federation of B.A.S.S., and presently Honey Hole
Ways & Means: Three (3) Open Tournaments were initiated: Fall, Snowbird Classic, and Spring. The proceeds are used to run the Club's business.
Longest distance: Lakes fished from Granbury, TX have been Lake Fairfield (165mi) and Lake Cooper (135mi).
Safety Record: We are aware of only two accidents, one boating and one driving. No serious injuries.
The mainstay of the membership is 11 years. Member's age range from 16 to 72 years old.
Our current membership started at 24. Our fiscal Club year is October – September. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month and fish the following Sunday. We once fished Saturday and/or Sunday.
Our yearly dues of $35.00 includes; $17.00 Club, $18.00 for Honey Hole affiliation.
A Club hat and Weigh-in bag are presented to all new members.
Monthly tournament fees are: $25.00 (includes Big Stringer & Big Bass). Optional $5.00 (includes Blind Draw & Calcutta).
We provide Year End Awards to the Top Ten, Junior Angler, Angler of the Year, Lady Angler, and Big Bass.
